Above pics from Ian Holmes...'Here are some pics I took 4 Feb 2004 when the river levels were pretty high. I stopped off the M6 on my way back home from Scotland - unfortunately it was a work trip so no boat, but that made it easy to pretend that the high levels didn't scare me and that an absence of boat was the only thing stopping me jumping straight on the water!'
