GUIDE TO MILLERGROUND BECK

NAME OF RIVER: Millerground Beck

WHERE IS IT?: Flows into Lake Windermere at Millerground.

PUT-INS/ TAKE-OUTS: Put in by carpark at path down to lake. Take out at foot bridge near lake. See map at top of page (Multimap).

APPROX LENGTH: 300 metres

TIME NEEDED: 5 minutes

ACCESS HASSLES: Unknown.

WATER LEVEL INDICATORS: If it's white it is runnable. It is a rock slide in any conditions.

GRADING: 4

MAJOR HAZARDS/ FALLS: A constant rock slide. A couple of large logs blocking the way.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: A 2 minute grade 4 rock slide on a small beck that flows into Windermere. Put a hole in my disco! Plenty of obstacles. Not worth doing under normal conditions. We only considered it because the lake was 2 metres higher then normal!
