Paddled today at bank full + levels (over 1m on simonsbath gauge - by time we reached it, it was in middle of flow!). The bridge / ford at suggested put in was just starting to flood over the top, there was a gauge here showing 0.8 - it was well above when we picked up the car afterwards). The main road bridge further upstream would not be a good place to begin due to trees / fences / put in bridge.

First sheep fence was either covered or washed away, but there was a hard to spot strand of barb wire further down, before another missing one, whilst rest were more easily seen sheep fences. The weir has an obvious bulge on left at high water & a boat length stopper (with orange lifebuoy hopefully still on left bank). Last 500m or so above simonsbath has several low hanging trees.
