Our group paddled this today. The river looked bony from the narrow stone bridge just of the A82 (half way point of the trip described here), but actually provided a fast and challenging G3/4 trip, especially for the leader. A fair amount of wood in the river, we removed a river wide strainer (tree) that was immediately below the grade 5 drop and the group squeezed round another nasty strainer in the gorge. However, this would have caused major problems had it been river wide - scary for the leader! There is an unrunnable section past the gorge (sumps, siphons etc) so scout the egress before getting on. We parked in a large parking area to the right of the A82 on a left hand bend about a kilometre past the Glen Gloy turn. The grade 5 justifies its grade on close inspection with undercut shelf on the left carrying hidden rocks. Our "pro" tried for a river left line but found the rocks and went centre. The guidebook recommends a left to right line that looks a bit awkward but in high water may be essential to avoid holes left and centre. All in all a good river that is never too serious when viewed from my vantage point (the bank) but the strainer hazard and difficulty of inspection make it a hairy ride for the leader. About two hours for the full section.

PS - the guidebook is quite vague about the location of the grade 5; get out at the farmer's bridge half way down the first section and you can inspect most easily from the left bank.

You see a section of new fencing on river left as you come to one of the falls. This warns of the approaching action!!
