Berwick Tidal Rapid:
Note that for 2 to 3 days twice a month around the spring tides, a low-water tidal rapid forms under the old bridge in Berwick-upon-Tweed. When there is also a reasonable level of fresh water flow in the river, this becomes 'interesting' with boily eddy lines and surfable waves.
