Tree in final rapid of lower Roy
Tree in final rapid of lower Roy
in the rapid after the bridge there is a large tree in the river, it was possible to get around it today although two paddlers became pinned for a time, (Low level) but I imagine this would have been much more serious had there been more water. I see the tree shifting with out some serious water or dynamite so be careful out there and inspect before running.

Re: Tree in final rapid of lower Roy
Incidentally the dangerous trees wedged in the rapid below railway bridge on Roy, that has been there a couple of years and was very nasty has now been washed away completely. Totally gone. Relax and enjoy a nice rapid again, slightly blind from above. Take out is just after it on LHS, small path diagionals up left to a stile on bend on the small road, next where that road passes under the railway line.
A/WWSR 4/5star (river & sea) with the best!
