The Spey in December

Post by GridNorth »

apart from being very cold can anyone describe the usual paddling conditions on the Spey in December? I've heard that even in the most bitter winters the Spey still flows reliably. I've also seen some YouTube footage of it floating with ice. I'm looking for reliable info on the usual conditions.

Any thoughts??

Thank you

If it rains it will be wet. If it snows it will be rocky. If it snows then thaws it will be cold and wet. Whatever the conditions it will be boring.
