Re: RIVER BLACKWATER
The bridge at the put in has been partly collapsed by the recent floods - it's speculation as to what will happen next.

Re: RIVER BLACKWATER
From Alick Williams: Trees in Perthshire Blackwater. We had a run down the Blackwater today and near the end there has been a landslip on river right which has brought several trees with it and they are now in river. This is above the last section before the bridge and has blocked the river right eddy before the narrowing. It is possible to run past the trees on river left but if there are any high levels in the next few weeks the trees may well shift so it will be worth getting out to check this section. No pictures sorry as I left camera at home today.

Black water works.
The bridge at the the get on , Milton bridge, is now effectively closed. Major works at the bridge with forestry clearance etc. Fenced off with many no canoe signs.

Bailey Bridge removal 22 March as seen by drone (from PKC Facebook page)
PKC talking about October before replacement bridge open - so it'll be a building site for quite some time. A shame all the woods had to be removed for the craning - wonder if they'll re-align the approach road too.

Re: River Blackwater
Looks like they may have inadvertently created some more parking for us at the get on, we'll see if that remains.
Re: River Blackwater
I thought the new bridge was in and all fixed up but I cannot see this confirmed anywhere. SCA access note still seems to of 12 months ago etc. Can anyone clarify whether the Blackwater is open for use or not?? Cheers
... but when will it rain and be warm... ?

Re: River Blackwater
I have updated the guide with information about the new put in car park, everything, as of January 2017, is open and finished as far as we could see.

The property owners on the downstream side of the new Milton Falls bridge are especially grumpy, try to avoid walking through their land
