Our club Esky 15 is in a spot of bother. The wire, about 50mm from the skeg, has a sever kink in it preventing the skeg from fully retracting. If you try and force the skeg back into its recess, all this does is move the outer sheef of the wire at the slider end out of its position in the kayak.
I am looking for reasonalbe solution that anyone might know of to fix this problem, apart from cutting the b!!!!!!
Also if there is no solution, how easy is it to 1. Get a replacement. 2. Fit it.
The other option is to fit a rudder instead, as the carrier fittings are in place. Again the same question as in 1 & 2 above.
Thanks for any help.
