Re: AFON RHEIDOL (Parson's Bridge to Allt Y Gigfran footbridge)
Hi Patrick!
I have just read your guide about the Parson's Bridge to Allt Y Gigfran footbridge (awesome stuff!) and wanted to ask a few questions. I have a plan to traverse down the entire rheidol from Plynlymon to Aberystwyth this weekend using a mix of walking and paddleboarding (we will carry the rolled up paddleboards on our backpacks). However, I am hesitant about going down the Gorge between Ponterwyd and Devil's bridge, as it seems this is an intense expedition-worthy stretch and we simply don't have the equipment or training for it. When you went down the gorge, could you see any possibility of walking alongside the river, especially on the sketchy parts like at the waterfalls? Alternatively, are there exit points along the river? I had a visit the other day and it seemed fine between Ponterwyd and Parson's bridge.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes,
George
