Walking down from Dolanog to Pont Robert today, 30/10/21 noticed a firmly wedged tree trunk that stretches from bank on river right almost all the way across the river at just below chest height. It is below the lip of the drop so might not be seen till too late. This was towards the end of the gorge section below Dolanog.
Tree below "The Gorge" grade 3 drop, approximately 400m, has been cut out since 30th October 2021, by Wombourne Kayak Club and Bridgnorth Canoe Club. However, 500m from Pont Llogel by an island feature and route left has two fallen tree branches across river, particularly visible at low levels. This requires a "Portage" and has been across the river since 2019.
