Just a note. We were waiting on the left side just above Cobden's Falls waiting our turn to go down on the left and avoid the main falls. There are a couple of steel rods there sticking out of the rock generating a good point to hold on to on low level, but on high level it can split a boat if somebody choose to go over them. Also one of them was tangled so it can trap an unfortunate swimmer's leg.
The route back to the river after Pont Cyfyng seems to be closed; lots of barbed wire and no canoeing signs on the gate that we used to use to get on just below. Not sure what you're supposed to do, we just carried on walking until the next gate by the river.
