DORSET RIVER STOUR (Blandford to Spetisbury)
Re: DORSET RIVER STOUR (Blandford to Spetisbury)
Can anyone provide a better description of the Spetisbury egress and parking. We're planning on running this section on Monday. The Blandford access can be clearly seen on a satelite map - looks like the Morrisons carpark.
But the egress has me confused. Is the brigde referred to in the description the Crawford bridge?
Is egress below or above the bridge?
River left or right?

Many thanks!

We paddled here earlier this year for the WWR.

We parked in the public car park behind the school. Coming from Blandford its the first building/turning on the right as you enter the village (to "West End")
You take the farm track (Clapcotts farm) on the opposite side of the main road from the school, then follow a public path over strange curved elevated concrete walkway across someones garden and down the side of another house to come to the playspot.

Enjoy.

Many thanks - that sounds enough detail to be able to find it. Now *all* I need to do is talk my wife into a boat!
