As so many people don’t know how to add pictures to their classified add I’ve put a quick FAQ together, hope this helps some of you out.
If you need any more help just post in the end of this thread!
cheers for that I'll have a go at registering on that site & adding pics when I get a moment
woodsy
meanwhile, for all those that asked I have mailed pics
Also make sure that the "Disable BBCode in this post" is not ticked... I've finally worked out why nothing ever worked in my efforts to post pictures or make my text do fancy things!!!
Shame it hasn't been incorporated into the far from useful FAQ on posting an image - it's taken me 5 hours to get this far to try and post an image on sea and surf.
Now the only problem is how to make the size of the image conform to the message board. I've tried resizing on Picture bucket but it doesn't seem to have any effect.
If you link to a picture in Photobucket it shouldn't matter about the size as you are not uploading to ukriversguidebook.co.uk! All you are doing is adding BB CODE (see bellow)
Could this thread not be made into a "sticky" so it's at the top or added to Mark's post at the very top of this page????
I was looking the other day but could find it in the search and couldn't remember the authors name. After reading it now, it was what I already knew how to do anyway but wished to check.
Seems we STILL have people asking HOW to add pictures to there post's!!
Don't know if anyone fancy's doing it, but it would really help for people to add the link to this thread in there signature. We are still getting so many requests for photo's of kit for sale and I see the same old answer time and time again "Sorry I'm trying to work out how to add my pictures to my post"
For anyone interested I have been using Snagit for years as an image capture and upload tool!
If I've shoot some video I just pause it, take a screen capture and upload to my free FLICKER account in seconds. Its real easy to add the URL to any post with a quick copy and paste :-)
This was so helpful and straight forward, I just dont know why this is not made easier to find and on the FAQ. It would have saved a lot of time and searching.
