I believe it goes something along the lines of two Eskimos are out hunting polar bears from the water when they start to get a bit of a chill on so one of them builds a little camp fire in the boat which instantly gets out of hand and engulfs them all in flames (alternative version involves it melting a hole and them sinking) which just goes to prove that you can't have your kayak and heat it.
