Hi All
Been paddling on and off for a number of years, had an Advanced elements expedition most recently for a good while. Got back into it recently and treated myself to a hardshell. I have however become quite frustrated already.
I have a pickup with a roof rack. Problem I have encountered is literally everywhere i could go with parking and decent river access has height restrictions!!
Does anyone transport their kayak with it hanging out the end of the flat bed? is it allowed even? Its a katana 10.4, so would have around 4foot of it stick out the rear. Only way i can think of to get round the height restrictions.....or go back to an inflatable :-(
thanks

You're allowed a 1m projection without having to mark it. Between 1m and 2m it needs to be made 'clearly visible' from the rear and the side. Relevant bits of law here and here.
