The tree stump which has been stuck in the strid feature on the Rawthey Gorge has gone. We had some big flows in January and February so it has been dislodged then as it was still there in November.
The river is really low at the moment so went for a walk today to have a think about getting it out, Mother Nature did it for us!

Re: Classic Rawthey Tree Blockage
In addition Lakeland Canoe Club members have been in the Conglomerate Gorge section (just above the first A684 Road Bridge heading out of Sedbergh ) and have cleared out the massive tree that had blocked this stretch. As far as we know (its been a while since its been at a paddleable level) this classic Rawthey section is now clear of trees
Born to paddle................forced to work.

Great work, I live by the footbridge and ford so give me a shout when you are next paddling there. Jonny
