Karitek - is everything ok?

Post by Fozzy »

I've been trying to contact Karitek since Tuesday.
Nobody's answering the phone and no reply to emails or responding to phone messages left.
I hope everything is ok as they're usually very good.

Is anyone else having problems or can shed any light?

Thanks

Steve

I'd seen a recent post on here praising Karitek but chose not to add my experience as it was the opposite of what had been posted so I'd assumed things had changed. My experience of Karitek has always been that they're incredibly difficult to get hold of and I've given up on getting my particular problem resolved. It's been around 2 years since I damaged one of their skeg box fittings and made several attempts to contact them about a replacement, including getting other people to ask on my behalf whilst they were in touch with them buying the same skeg-box. I never heard a thing back. I've been told that the business is essentially split into two: the roof-racks and everything else - and you're more likely to get a response if you've got a roof-rack issue.

I bought a new Cetus Infusion from them recently, followed by a Flat Earth sail kit and a few other bits and pieces. No probs at all with email or phone contact ??

AFAIK they've moved to new premises near the Crinan canal. Maybe new contact details too?

Karitek manufacture their own products themselves as well as fitting skegs etc. Sometimes no-one can get to the phone because they are up to their wrists in resin or otherwise engaged.

I was in touch with one of the Karitek team last night, who confirms that they’ve been full on with the move to new premises at Ardrishaig and have unfortunately fallen a bit behind with replying to messages.

Hopefully things will return to normal this coming week, for both staff and customers.

Yep. Anne has emailed me and yes they have been full on with the move, so all good and order placed. Thanks for all the replies.
