Dates: July 6th/7th
Prerequisites: over 16yrs of age
Cost: £110 includes Red Cross First Aid manual and Certification.
Day 1 (Saturday 6th July)
Today’s sessions will focus on
• Basic Life Support + use of a defibrillator, and including management of people in paddling kit.
• Medical Conditions.
• Scenarios on dry land.
The session on injuries will focus on those that may be sustained whilst kayaking. However the Day 1 sessions will provide everyone with the skills required to deal with everyday events, so will be of use at home, at work and whilst out and about. Please wear clothes suitable for lying and sitting on the ground.
Day 2 (Sunday 7th July)
Today’s session will have an emphasis on being remote, and decision making during an incident. Please bring your boat and paddling kit.
