Fallen Oak Tree in River Kent near Sedgwick

Post by hoopla » Mon Apr 01, 2019 4:14 pm

A large Oak Tree has fallen into the river Kent from River Right spanning 2/3 of the river width. Location is just after weir found inbetween Gunpowder Gorge and Sedgwick Road Bridge. Aware that advise is to portage the weir from the foot bridge above the weir and I would suggest this as a good call. Major Strainer unless both the Weir and fallen Tree are ran far river left. Guided groups a definite portage of both hazards.
