Yscir

Two of us ran the Yscir today. Low, 0.4. A few trees to dodge, no portages. Great run.

Ran it low, 0.38 , no portages. Very nice woman let us put in through her garden! The normal get on had nettles and brambles and I was in shorts.

Ran it 0.45 after the big storm , still no portages apart from the weir. Pleasantly surprised.

Ran this on Tuesday after Storm Francis. High level and a beautiful run but warning - 3 separate barbed wire fences at water level (and bouncing up as water pulsed) about 3/4 mile after put in. Several trees down (one needed portaging) but decent sight of these beforehand. Wires need watching for. Otherwise a beautiful day.

Ran it 0.7m on the gauge, good level.
No fences, saw the remains of a cattle fence.
We portaged twice for trees.
1st 1 we got out river left and had an awkward climb around.
2nd tree easy portage river right, but it was runnable just, hard left.
Always a great run.
