Waka OG reviews

Post by SPL » Sat Oct 06, 2018 12:04 pm

Looking for a new boat, can any OG paddlers give me a review. I have spent a week in the Tuna 1 which i enjoyed but looking at the specs the volume of the OG looks huge.
Im 6ft and 86kg. Also is there anyway to demo one at CIWW?
Cheers.

I paddled an OG extensively in Wales and Norway this year! I'm the same height/weight as you and I can confirm it feels a little on the big side but I've not found that to cause any problems. I find it a more full on creeker than the Tuna, but for this it sacrfices its speed, and compared to the other boats from Waka is a little slow (that said I did fine racing one). If you want to Demo one have a look for Radical Rider (Jiri Tykal) on facebook, he's often travelling up and down the country with Demo boats! If you've any specific questions about Waka boats in general I'm also happy to help!
