Postings about poor customer service are not uncommon. It feels good to be able to share my appreciation of ICOM UK for really excellent customer service. My well used 2 year old radio failed. It turned out salt water had got in. The workshop people we talked to by phone were technically skilled and helpful. They surely could have argued user error but instead they quickly replaced it with a brand new one. I'm going to feel safer on the sea again. Thanks ICOM.

That's good to hear. I've had similar excellent customer service from Icom, in circumstances when I really shouldn't have expected any help at all. Both Icom and Standard Horizon have a well-deserved reputation for this sort of thing.
