CRUZ aero bars

Post by Kayak_ben » Sat Aug 11, 2018 5:15 pm

Having recently bought a focus estate I need to get new roof bars, as my previous set don’t fit, has anyone used or had any experience of the Cruz bars as they are considerably less than the Thule equivalent and from first glance look very similar in design

Hi, I have had Cruz standard (not aero) bars on my car for about two years and they’ve been solid, no problems.

I had the (older?) cruz aero bars on flush rails. They were solid once on, but a right faff to put on and take off as they used m6 nut and bolt, which had to be short thread length otherwise the lockable covers which hide them would not fit over. I drilled out the holes and used m8 bolts and nylocks instead. Also they were noisy unless they had foam on.

My current set are thule wingbars and they are much better. Go on thule website and see which set you need then see if you can get them seperately off ebay or somewhere similar. I saved quite a bit by doing this.
