Scottish White Water Guidebook
£20.00

In this guidebook you will find descriptions of both well-known classics and little-known gems. It covers the length and breadth of the country and provides something for everyone, whatever the conditions, whether you are an aspiring rapid paddler or an out and out hair boater. With maps, pictures and first hand accounts, here is a guide that captures the spirit of Scottish white water. This is a white water guide and runs are mainly grade 3 and above, although a few classic grade 1-3 sections are included.

The guide has been written and edited by an army of volunteers from the Scottish white water community. Every penny raised will go into the Andy Jackson Fund for Access, and will be used to fund practical projects which enhance access to the rivers we all play on and enjoy. Buying direct at Wet West Paddlefest, or from the AJ Fund website cuts out the wholesalers’ costs and means that your money goes to the fund rather than to cooperate profit.

New in the 3rd Edition

New to this edition by popular demand are river maps to some of the most popular runs; improved location maps, full lat/long coordinates for your sat nav as well as grid references; three brand new sections (Shetland, Harris/Lewis, and Glen Carron to Glen Shiel), notes on other island rivers, and descriptions of 86 new runs.

Postage Options

Available exclusively on this website until Wet West Paddlefest launch party. Buying direct from this website increases the reveue for the Andy Jackson Fund for Access.

To get it in the post select “Flat rate: £3.50” at checkout. Orders sent out from August 12th.

To increase our revenue even more and save yourself postage cost, pick it up at the Wet West Paddlefest 2018 (Sep 7/8/9), select “Local Pickup” at checkout.

.
I think you will find that some of this "cooperate profit " was returned to help pay in small part for this new edition just look at the Ads and other contributions.
So what comes around sometimes goes around.

Think he was probably referring to the likes of Amazon rather than your local canoe shop.
Would be interesting to see the sales figures for other kayaking guidebooks, amazon vs local shops.
I have a hunch that sales by the former would significantly exceed those of the latter by quite a margin.

I'd just like to point out that I am not taking any profit from this book in any way.
