Lundy Island trip

Post by Hirsty » Fri Aug 03, 2018 10:09 am

Hi, I'm planning to paddle to Lundy and stay there for a couple of days, doe's anyone know the best place to park on the mainland and leave a car/trailer while away? Everywhere I'm looking at seems to have restricted times any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have parked at Lee Bay, I not sure if restrictions have been imposed in recent years.

I left my car at Lee Bay car park in April for 3 days with no issues at all.

I've done this trip twice and I parked at Hartland quay carpark and informed the carpark attendant I'd be going to lundy. Beware of strong currants so tidal timing is important. But it's the quickest route, I believe! If you stay on Lundy overnight there is a small fee for camping but you'll love the whole trip. Good luck but you shouldn't need it!

Thanks for all the answers, Lee Bay seems to be the best location. We're keeping an eye on the wind speed and direction to see if we can find a suitable window.
