<r>I had my first paddling experience in 16 months since my accident on Sunday at Stonehaven in the exciting new Evolution Sea Kayak the Nomad 17. These sea kayaks live up to their reputation as the name implies. The build quality is the best I have seen in a long time plus the exceptional ability on the water makes the paddling experience second to none, time for the other manufactures to wake up and take a look at what Mike Nelson has achieved in the hull design as the name of the company implies Evolving with Innovation! Chris who is in charge of the company has one goal in mind ... Quality above all! Kevin from South Skye Sea Kayaking organised the weekend and he has Demo Evolution Kayaks available. They had a demo day at Fortrose on the Saturday which was well attended and the reaction from all who have paddled these Kayaks have only good to say about the Nomad and the Voyager. The company is in it's early stages with sales picking up now and I would encourage anyone who is thinking of investing in a new Sea Kayak to look very seriously at the Evolution as they will not be disappointed. Demo boats are available around the country and more are becoming available as time progresses. Don't just take my word for this check out what other kayakers are saying on Facebook. The recommended paddler weight range for both models is 50kg to 120 kg which seems like an ambitious "one size fits all"?! I would be interested in trying one but suspect it would be too big for my 66kg / 163 cm. The boats seem to be well received but I would be interested to know more about the handling for a range of paddler weights?
