River Halladale

Post by col1nmatheson » Mon Oct 23, 2017 8:03 am

The Halladale is a gd2/3 river in the far north of Scotland. There is currently a VERY dangerous fence made from blue plastic pipe, wooden batons and wire mesh right across the river upstream of the take out at the cemetery. The fence is on a long straight gd 1 section and can easily be seen from the river and portaged. Parts of the fence on river left was electrified when we ran the river 22/10/17. However, if paddling the River Dyke, which flows into the Halladale on river left immediately upstream of the fence, it cannot be seen until you are right upon it. Please take care if you venture this far north as this river wide contraption could be lethal....
