Blockage on the River Don near Montgarrie

Post by ian johnston » Sat Apr 30, 2016 7:51 pm

Hi river paddlers,

Took a walk along the section of the River Don downstream from Montgarrie Bridge (Haughton Park) this evening. Whre the river bends sharp left at the end of Haughton Park (NJ583171) there's a Birch tree come down which is pretty much blocking the river. You wouldn't see this until around the bend and it's about 50 metres beyond. Looks like another consequence of the bank damage following the big floods, but this tree has come down in the last 24 hours

Kind Regards

Ian
