Hampshire/Dorset advice?

Post by Fogey99 » Tue Jul 09, 2013 12:13 pm

Looking to take a complete beginner river paddling in the Christchurch area in a couple of weeks time. Thinking of Sturminster Newton to Blandford, Blandford to Spetisbury (Stour), or perhaps Lymington River - Brockenhurst to Lymington. Can't find anything recent in the Guides. I'd welcome any more up-to-date info on these ... or any other suggestions within an hour-or-so drive?

Many Thanks, Tom

I live in Lymington and was thinking of kayaking the Lymington River soon, maybe with my 14 year old daughter, if anyone would like to join us? I am also planning to paddle the Hamble and Itchen rivers and would welcome some company and also any up to date advice. would also like to do the Avon from Salisbury, perhaps very early one morning before there are too many fishermen to complain.
