Plastic boat repair quotes for insurance

Managed to put a nice deep gouge into my boat. Its like someone's jabbed the end of a hot chisel about 2cm into the end of the boat.

Am going to the French Alps this summer so will be paddling lots of G4 and don't want to take anything that'll end badly. Spoke to insurance and they want a repair quote for it?? Plastic repair isn't something I've ever seen done for WW boats and the one place I can see needs it in person (5hrs away) before they'll even quote you anything.

Anyone got any advice? I need a quote or a "unrepairable" sticker stamped on it by a company etc before they'll do anything.
