Square Hatch Capella Foot Peg

Post by Pandatree »

I had a bit of a disaster today. Got to the water, climbed into my boat and the left foot peg was missing. Straight up vanished. No idea where it has gone.

The boat is an old PandH Capella, the one with the square hatches.

Does anyone know where I could source a replacement, or failing that make a new one?

Cheers.

I have the same boat. P&H aren't supporting them anymore but longtime stockists may have one lurking in a drawer but you may only find that by ringing round. I have located some parts in that way. Alternatively if you are the only user perhaps fill the space with a block of mini cell foam. There will be less water to bail if you wet exit.

You could always try replacing the whole lot https://store.phseakayaks.com/index.php ... trest.html

Bet the fixing holes on the hull will be different!
Canoeing - bigger boat, broken paddle, more skill!

Cheers guys. I'll maybe phone PandH and then check the fitting holes as a backup. Fingers crossed.

Failing that I'll go at it with a big chunk of foam. At least it's fixable.

Thanks again for the advice!

Could foot pegs be 3D printed?
