Something I've just started to dabble with, video.

This is a trip to Loch Lomond, hope you like it.

I do like it every much, shows another reason for the wife and I getting into it.....it's so peaceful. Love that sound of nothing but the paddling. The water looks very dark and deep.

The water isn't that deep at the southern end of the Loch, quite a few rocks just under the surface. It was a lovely day and no jetskis.

The hat, yes better than a sunburnt bald head that's for sure.

Loved the video. Thanks for not adding metal music to it. I've lost count of the number of calm-looking videos I've clicked on in YouTube only to jump out of my skin when the music starts ;-) I've read about people kayaking and canoeing on Loch Lomond, but never bothered to look it up on account of the (often) dreadful songs that have been written about it over the years. It looks stunning.

Thanks for that, glad you liked it. Getting the sound right is the hardest part. You really shouldn't be put off by all the tartan and shortbread stuff Scotland is so much more.

I really enjoyed the landing with the voices and the swans on the right. The last few encounters I have had with Swans whilst paddling on canals have been far from easy going. On my last meeting with a couple and signets I thought it best to avoid confrontation as I was only 100 yds from my get out and got out!
I have done roughly this trip in both a Gumotex inflatable and a P&H Capella. There are deer on the islands and chop on windy days.
Thanks for reviving memories.
