Going on a family holiday to this area in August, hoping to do some easy 2-3 sections with the family. Was wondering if anyone can give some pointers for easier sections of the Inn/Oetz/Rosanna etc.
I've got the guidebook and have been a couple of times myself so know the area, just looking for some recommendations.
Tried a search but not found much.
Cheers!

The section above Tossens on the Inn is a nice easy section grade 2. Put on by the border and paddle down to the Tossens put on.
You can also paddle from the Landeck gorge take out to the Imst put in for another easy paddle.
In Switzerland the schuls section can be made just grade 2/3 by putting on below the first grade 4 and portaging round the next.
We're out the same time as you as it is such a great area for a family holiday. So much to do off the water as well as good paddling.

Thanks for the replies. Not seen rivermap before, it's pretty good, with more easier sections marked than riverapp.
Any other recommendations anyone? Up to maybe a couple of hours away from Oetz?
Cheers

Untere Sill near Innsbruck (one g4 but easy to portage; Ruetz gauge is more relevant as that's the river you actually start on), Loisach near Garmisch (quite technical though), Isar I think is supposed to be easy but pretty, Imster Schlucht on the Inn, I believe the Lech has some easier sections,

If you're looking for something further away, you could try the Eisack/Iscaro in Sud Tirol? Or the Isar, up neasr the german border (a very pretty, and easy, gorge)

The classic class2 section on the Vorderrhein in Switzerland is also within striking distance...bonus, train shuttle.

This map is quite a useful resource and, being non-interactive, can be easier to read :-)
