there is a very very large tree blocking the entire width of the river below the gorge in the lesser rapids in the woods.....but it is nowhere near any major features or rapids and is easy to portage ... but a bit of a shame as its going to be there for sometime as its huge!
easy to get out river right and go around
happy paddling!!
River Lower Clough
Re: River Lower Clough
the very very large tree is still in the lesser rapids in the woods downstream of the main gorge section....and will not be moving for a long time.....but it does not cause any issues as there is a large flat section above it and it was sneakable in higher water on friday and saturday up against the far left rock wall, very tight but ok rather than portage river left

There is now tree blocking the gorge 20m downstream from the bridge. Awkward get out. or at higher than 1.4 maybe no get out
Seriously suggest you inspect before committing to run the rapid down to and under the bridge.

If it moves it will likely block the narrow boil section below at some point.
