Hey all,
We had some hassle getting on by the river right weir at Newark yesterday from a lady in a white 4x4. Interestingly there has also been steps concreted down to the river on this side, and an eddy created with more concrete filled sandbags.
Newark Weir Hassle
Re: Newark Weir Hassle
Hi Tom,
As far as I was aware river right was privately owned by a fishing association and there has been hassle in the past for anyone standing on the bank or getting off there but I thought as long as kayakers asked and no fishermen were around everything was all good
As its private my guess is they can do what they want to the bank with steps etc... might be useful for us kayakers as well
Not entirely sure they can change the flow of the river with sand bags though
BC or Waterways could help with that
