Uprights for Rhino Roof bars

Postby JMarkW » Fri Feb 17, 2017 1:35 pm

Hi,

Looking to get some Rhino roof bars for my van, as I want to use the roller system that they sell but can't seem to see any uprights that might fit. The Rhino bars are quite aerodynamic in profile so just a straight parallel plate mount like on the Palm uprights probably not going to work that well?

Anybody got any Rhino bars with uprights?

cheers
mark

Can't help with the specific query, but I used to use Palm uprights on Audi's aerobars - they fitted ok, although I did have to get longer bolts.

I have Rhino aero bars on my van – and the ladder roller is brilliant for loading sea kayaks on my own. The uprights help stop the boat sliding off the side so are pretty useful! I bought Karitek uprights from Reed: http://www.chillcheater.com/kayaks-and-paddles/kayak-uprights-for-x-bars. The uprights are heavy duty - just be careful when tightening the bolts as there is some give in the aero bars and they can be distorted.
