From Colin Aitken (07/02/2016):
Trees on the Lower Braan gorge. The narrows just below Splitter are needing James Fleming attention. Totally blocked by some big pines. At high flows this could be really sketchy. Take care out there! PS no swimmies out of left channel.

Braan Gorge update

Hi folks, full credit to whoever has been working at the trees blocking the rapid below splitter, good effort.

Myself and Joe spent this morning doing some more clearing.

There is a clear path below Splitter, we also spent a bit of time clearing Coffin Falls.

I would add caution that there are still trees river right inbetween Splitter and Coffin, the rapid is clear but more trees could come into play following really high water.

We would advise a scout before running regardelss.

Cheers, Jason
