Re: RIVER TEES (Cauldron Snout)
We took a walk up there on Saturday and found it flowing on less than half a pipe. In my opinion this makes most of the falls unrunnable (or just more so?!) due to too many exposed rocks. I would say that one pipe would give the best conditions for most of the falls, except the final one where I could only ever see it being doable with a load of water to allow you to clear the rocks at the base.
Bob Evans may have a different opinion however...

John Tomlinson also ran it the same day as Jamie and I. We had two pipes but much less water coming out of them than Sam's video shows. Not sure if they can control the flow or it's just because the reservoir was low. I reckon we had the minimum flow for a cleanish run, but much more and the holes on drops 2 and 3 start to look very sticky and they're not that far apart. All in all much cleaner than it looks, but must be pretty terrifying at the levels Sam had!

I(Bob Evans) ran the whole thing April 2013 along with Michael Hutchinson and Stu Ridley. We ran it on compensation flow, which is Low water! At this level the top section is easier but the bottom drop is nasty. I would agree with Jims comments above, One pipe is probably the optimum level. We slit two boats and destroyed one paddle and were lucky to have no broken bones.
