Afon Conwy - Fairy Glen
Re: RIVER CONWY (Fairy Glen)
There is a tree slowly making it's way down the Glen.
September it was above Monkey drop.
Now (end Oct '09) it's in the rapid after "monkey drop". There is a sneak line at certain levels, but you'd want to inspect first... three of our group of seven went under it.

Re: RIVER CONWY (Fairy Glen)
A large tree has fallen over the end of the first gorge. It’s currently spanning the river, about 40ft up. Although it’s about 20m after Cave drop, you can see it if you breakout river right above the rapid called “henry moore”/“go left” (this is the third major rapid down – after “sticky hole” and “monkey drop”. If you can’t see it there, there’s a chance it’s fallen into the river and could cause you some serious bother if you continued without scouting. Paddle safe!
Re: RIVER CONWY (Fairy Glen)
Plans are afoot to build an HEP scheme on the Conwy. This will have a distinctly negative effect on paddling here. Look here for more info.
