you can do a 6km run from bridge at GR .159 055 ( parking just to West) on Allt Liathdorie, to Loch Kanaird GR 121.995-you can drive up the little road (ask if you see anyone).
Narrow and grade 1 meanders to begin. Small ledges bring the occasional surprise before leading to short open gorge section at grade 2/3. After 1.75km the Runie joins, water volume increases and soon the ledges get bigger, with some shallow landings which my need inspection. This leads to the section described above.
note just upstream of the bridge at Blughasary is a nasty pothole fall that would be very serious. Looking downstream from the road bridge a fall with nasty keeper is best avoided at all but low water. Portage on west bank.
Re-enter at end of short canyon for the final blast down one f the best slabs you will ever do!

Needs lots of water for the whole trip. A wonderful sense of isolation for most of the trip as you will see only open moorland and mountains. A source to sea trip worth the effort.
