Kayaksport hatch covers and rims^

Post by ChrisS » Fri Dec 15, 2006 1:06 pm

I need some small Kayaksport hatches including rims. Kayaksport are in Finland. They make a wider range of hatch sizes than Valley, including 150mm and 100mm, but they seem to be unavailable in the UK.

I know that NDK, for example, uses the larger Kayaksport hatches in their boats and at least the covers for these are available here; but I don't think the rims are, and neither are the smaller sizes as far as I can tell.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can obtain what I need?

Chris
Knoydart used to stock the Kajak Sport hatches. They may still have some in stock.
Or if KS won't deal direct maybe a UK manufacturer could add your requirements to the next order
As a Kajak Sport boat owner I would be interested to see how you get on.

Good luck

Jon

Try "Brookbank Canoes" in Stockport. I can`t post the link as I am only new but they sell kayaksport/IK hatches. Don`t know about the rims though.
You need to look in Touring Kayak Parts in their online shop.

Hope this helps,

Davey.

You could try Kari-tek they add an extra small kayaksport hatch to the Greenlander Race when fitting their hydro-skeg. So they should be able to get them for you.
