One member of our group took a swim and lost their boat above Guardian Angel Gorge (Guil) last week. We paddled the gorge the next day to find it but didn't see it. It wasn't a hazard to a paddler at the time, but might be if it moves and pins somewhere else so take care if you're paddling the gorge.
If anyone does see it and feels confident enough to fetch it out if it's sighted, or just provide information of it's whereabouts I'm sure the owner would be very greatful!
The boat is a black and blue Dagger Outlaw with lap straps fitted. I think there was also a throwline in it as well, which hopefully still is...

It's unlikely to have got through the gorge, but it might also be somewhere on the Middle Guil or the barrage above the Guil Gorge. Take care out there, and have fun. We did!

Aye Gav, it was a funny one! I got down to the flat bit above the last drop on Chateaux Q and turned round to see 4 swimmers and associated kit floating down followed by the rest of the paddlers! Not a smile in the whole damn lot of them! ;-) Everyone was ok, but understandably Des wasn't too happy when he found out we hadn't managed to save his boat...

Myself and a group of paddlers paddled guardians last week (thurs i think) There wasnt any sign of lost gear in the gorge section. There is a chance it may have washed through to the Middle Guil. A different group did paddle this earlier in the week but no-one commented on finding any gear, one lad did find some minicell foam that looked like part of central buoyancy but thats it. sorry i cant be more help.
