Playboating on the flat (or not...)

Post by StillNewish » Sat Jul 07, 2012 7:17 pm

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick plea for a bit of playboating help/advice, as I'm struggling at the moment....

Basically I'm trying to learn to do a few flat water things to start with (double pump and bow stalls) but am not really getting anywhere.

I hadn't expected to find it quite this difficult, as I've been paddling (whitewater) for around a year, so while by no means an expert, I'm not a total beginner anymore. (have a solid flat water role, 3* WW, have done a few grade 2/3 rivers, Dart Loop, CIWW, Nene etc)

Much as I'd like to blame the boat (dagger agent), the weakness is definitely the paddler...!

Has anyone got a bit of time free and would be willing to point me in the right direction?

Based in Basingstoke and happy to travel to Thames, Kennet & Avon etc if there is anyone local that could spare an hour or two to advise.

Thanks a lot,

Colin
