I'm canoeist from Warsaw and I paddle all year round on Vistula River (upriver and downriver). I will visit London from 14.06.2018 to 19.06.2018 and I would like to paddle in River Thames. Could anybody help me to organize a liitle trip? (I prefer paddling upstream). I will need kayak and a company

All the best from Poland

There are companies doing the tidal Thames right in the city centre. I've not done any of the tidal section and would advise joining an organised group. My local shop White water the canoe centre in Shepperton Surrey hire boats (venture flex touring ) . Lovely section of river possible to paddle to Hampton court palace ( once home of Henry the 8th our King who enjoyed beheading his wives) Shepperton weir is a very popular spot for slalom and play although river levels have dropped so quite gentle. Going upstream it's possible to paddle up to Windsor castle. It would help us if we know what boat and distances grades of water you paddle.I live 5 mins from river near Chertsey in Surrey and would be willing to help if needed.

I'm paddling in marathon master kayak, and I'm taking part in marathon competitions. I race on long distances (from 50 to 114 km in one day). I think of half day trip in London.

Not many canoe clubs allow non members to hire boats. The centre I mentioned www.canoeandkayakthethames.co.uk/faq will help.
There are companies who do tours on river sightseeing in the city.
If you wanted I could lend you my boat paddle and pfd . Good quality sea worthy equipment. One hour on train from Waterloo.

I would try Tower Hamlets Canoe Club and see if they would take you on a trip with them as a guest. They are based in east London and often paddle up through central London.

I'd take the advice from twopigs above and contact Richmond Canoe Club - you need a club with marathon paddlers and boats.
