Farn Island (Two) Day Trip May/June 2017

Post by Tyll » Sun Mar 19, 2017 1:10 pm

Hello!
I am living in Lincolnshire and would like to do a day or a two day trip around the Farn Islands early summer (May or June).
As I don't know the area and wouldn't want to do it alone, I am looking for somebody to join in? I will be fairly flexible around timings...
Cheers

Hi Tyll

I could be tempted! I love the Farnes, it's spectacular but commands respect. I've done it a number of times and each trip has been so different, it's possible to be completely surrounded by seals.

It's not really a two day trip though, there's no camping allowed on the islands, you can get round them with a stop for lunch by the Longstone lighthouse in a day, fir a two day trip I would suggest adding St Abbs Head to the itinerary, so many nooks and crannies to test your manoeuvring skills.

I'm based in Selby, North Yorkshire, how about a day round Flamborough head first?

Morning Gareth! I think we have a deal - would be great to meet up and maybe find some others who are interested as well?
Send you a message as well.
