5day 3* Sea Kayak 30/05/16

Post by TrakLad » Wed Feb 10, 2016 12:07 pm

Hi All

30th May i will be going up to cumbrae, just off largs, an hour from Glasgow for a 5 day sea kayak including 3 star assessment. I will be driving up and have space on the roof for your own kayak or you can use theirs which is included in the price anyway. The total price is £395 which includes accommodation and food.

It would be good to split the driving costs and have some company on the way up. I am in York, so anything liverpool/hull upwards would be good.

I am in no way not affiliated with this company. Check it out at;

Thanks, hope to hear from you, and maybe go for a paddle or two beforehand.

Shane

Hi Shane
I'm booked to do that very same course so I look forward to seeing you at Cumbrae!!! Small world!

I live just 20/25 minutes drive from Largs so I can't help share your drive or your costs I'm afraid. Cumbrae is great value for money - its one of our 3 SportScotland National Centres where outdoor sport instructors are trained, a few athletes train there, school groups visit some of the centres and members of the public can also go on a wide variety of courses - the centres are essentially publicly owned and partially taxpayer funded. I've already done a few sea kayaking courses at Cumbrae, partly because its right on my doorstep and I've enjoyed them all enormously. If you want to chat more or ask about anything in advance of your trip feel free to PM me.

cheers
Rainshine

That's an interesting looking sea kayak. I've not seen anything like that before. I've got a Nordkapp LV.

I'll drop you a PM but meantime I hope you manage to find someone to share the drive with you.
