Anyone out this weekend?

Post by bluetoff » Thu Nov 28, 2013 3:17 pm

Thinking of giving it a go for the first time this weekend as it has forecast mild (10/11 degs) weather. Was thinking one of the lakes in North Wales. I dont want to turn up and be the only one on the water. Even if its just for a couple of hours.

Im in Harrogate this weekend and will be out on saturday for a few hours on either the Ouse near Linton weir or the Ure at Boroughbridge. Nothing dramatic but I fancy a long flatwater river paddle to get my fitness level up a bit. I've got room for a couple of boats and people + kit. Leaving Harrogate 10am and returning about 16:30

Oh well. The weather has changed for the worse after a nice week. Just as I was building my hopes up of a paddle.

Rather late response I know........

@Bluetoff - just noticed your posts in this and the North Wales thread; I'm in Llanberis pretty much every other weekend if that's any of any use to you?

Fairly new to the sport myself, and also have aspirations to getting out on the sea, but more than happy bashing about on Padarn Lake whilst I find my feet.
