Where to go in North West region in current dry weather?

Post by Kayak Maccaz » Wed Jul 10, 2013 9:09 pm

Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong section but I'm sure Mr Moderator will kindly move it for me if needed!

Since we have been rather lacking in rain for the last few weeks, I was wondering where the best rivers in the North West are for kayaking apart from the ever loyal River Mersey? On checking river levels a lot of them seem to be very low but I'm not sure if they will still be paddleable, so would appreciate anyone's experiences. Cheers :-)

ALL N.Wales and almost certainly all N.West rivers you can walk down - dry as a bone. Dee is perhaps the only one with some flow.

Might be time to look at the sea.

Lots of great paddles around the N. Wales coast, some of which can be "interesting" for WW addicts as well.
Cheers
