New to Kayaking North Cornwall

Post by Pixi » Sun May 12, 2013 3:32 pm

I'm very new to kayaking and while I enjoy kayaking in the lakes nearby I'd like to venture on to the rivers but I'm not sure the rules or regulations around them nor what the meanings are of the Grades... I'm guessing the higher the grade the more difficult the water is.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It might be a good idea to go to your local club they will give you all the info you need... you guessed right about the grads of rivers.

Hi ... I'm from Bude CC which should be near you !! Although we mainly focus on surf there is a group of us that paddle rivers whenever we can and can perhaps answer a few of your questions. Our club is a Weds and we meet 6 for half six start at the crescent car park Bude if you're interested in coming along :)
